Since 2006, outstanding national R&amp;D achievements have been selected across ministries. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 14pt\">This year, a total of 869 achievements recommended by ministries, agencies, and offices were nominated. Following evaluations by a selection committee consisting of 100 industry-academic-research experts and public verification, the final 100 outstanding achievements were chosen. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_182244\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-182244\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-182244\" src=\"http:\/\/ee.presscat.kr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/\ud718\uc5b4\uc9c0\ub294-\uc870\uac74\uc5d0\uc11c-\uc548\uc815\uc801\uc73c\ub85c-\ubc1c\uad11\ud558\ub294-\uc12c\uc720-OLED_enhancer.jpg\" alt=\" \uc12c\uc720 OLED \uc5f0\uad6c \ubd80\uc5f0 \uc124\uba85 \uc774\ubbf8\uc9c0\" width=\"750\" height=\"449\" title=\"\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-182244\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&lt;Fiber OLED that stably emits light under bending conditions &gt;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">In the field of Information\/Electronics, Professor Kyung Cheol Choi\u2019s achievement, \u2018Development of the World\u2019s Longest-Lifespan Fiber-Based OLED for Wearable Displays,\u2019 was recognized. This technology was designed to maximize user comfort and convenience by creating fiber-type displays. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The fiber organic light-emitting diode (OLED) developed by Professor Kyung Cheol Choi is designed to operate on a single cylindrical thread. It can be produced using existing thermal deposition equipment employed in current industries, enhancing its industrial applicability and compatibility. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">Notably, the fiber OLED operates stably for up to 720 hours, which is nine times longer than the previously reported maximum lifespan of 80 hours. This achievement is recognized as the highest-performing technology globally. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The light-emitting device implemented on a single thread, along with the wearable display that will be developed based on it, contributes not only to the fiberization of light-emitting devices but also sensors, batteries, and various electronic components. This core technology is expected to drive the development of diverse wearable electronic textiles. It is anticipated to spark innovation in medical and safety industries through wearable clothing-type displays and to create ripple effects across various scientific and industrial fields. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_182248\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-182248\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-182248\" src=\"http:\/\/ee.presscat.kr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ITU-T-\uad6d\uc81c-\ud45c\uc900-\ucc44\ud0dd_enhancer.jpg\" alt=\"IoT \ud2b8\ub7ec\uc2a4\ud2b8 \uc778\uc5d0\uc774\ube14\ub7ec \uae30\uc220 \uac1c\ubc1c \ubd80\uc5f0 \uc124\uba85 \uc774\ubbf8\uc9c0\" width=\"750\" height=\"433\" title=\"\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-182248\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&lt; ITU-T International Standard Adoption &gt;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">Another outstanding achievement in the Information\/Electronics category is Professor Jun Kyun Choi\u2019s \u2018Development of IoT Trust Enabler Technology and Leadership in International Standards.\u2019 This technology was developed to establish a reliable and secure intelligent IoT ecosystem. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The trust modeling algorithm developed by Professor Jun Kyun Choi for building IoT ecosystems secured approval for three international standards (Y.3057, Y.3058, Y.3060) related to IoT data trust frameworks and trust-based service delivery structures at ITU-T, the top international organization in the field of information and communication technology. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">Of the 49 international standard contributions submitted, 38 were adopted, demonstrating a high adoption rate and highlighting his leadership in global standardization. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">To support these standardization efforts, the trust analysis and IoT device operation technologies developed were published in 17 papers, including more than 10 in top-tier SCI international journals.
