Their research is on the development of cellular data offloading platform. It has recently been accepted to ACM MobiSys 2015 (AR=13.2 %), one of the major international conferences in the fields of mobile systems, and is to be presented in May.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size:13.3333330154419px;text-align:center;line-height:1.5\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/ee.presscat.kr\/upload\/board\/sub07_02\/20150519\/20150519131726150.jpg\" style=\"clear: none\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px;line-height: 1.5\"><b style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px;line-height: 1.5\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">[Research Abstract]<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px;line-height: 1.5\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">A novel mobile network platform has been developed, which can maximize opportunistic Wi-Fi network usage when downloading contents using smart mobile devices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px;line-height: 1.5\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Even though the number of Wi-Fi available spots has increased, once the user leaves the coverage of a specific Wi-Fi access point (AP), he\/she has to manually connect to other available APs. However, using the new platform they proposed, the devices can automatically handle re-scanning of APs and thus maximize the Wi-Fi network usage. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px;line-height: 2\">Furthermore, they developed a technology that allows \u201cdownload reservation\u201d with a user-specified deadline.
