Multiple Ph.D Assistantships and PostDoc
\npositions are available at Dwight Look College of
\nEngineering, Texas A&M University, College Station. Candidates
\nare expected to have strong background in one or more of the following:
\nadvanced controls theory, controls & automation applications, fluid power,
\nstrong hands-on controls experimental experience, or mechatronics research in both
\ndesign and hardware prototyping. For Ph.D assistantship, the
\napplicants should first apply to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at
\nTAMU, and the research assistantship may be available pending successful
\nadmission. <\/span>Interested candidates should submit their detailed CV (

The selected candidates will work with Dr.
\nXingyong Song in the general research areas on mechatronics and controls
\napplication to the energy system efficiency<\/span><\/u> ( such as clean and green
\nautomotive propulsion systems ), unconventional oil & gas
\nexploration\/production and renewable energy systems. Dr. Song will
\nstart a tenure-track assistant professor position at Department of Engineering
\nTechnology & Industrial Distribution with joint appointment at Department
\nof Mechanical Engineering from August this year ( Personal profile will be
\navailable on TAMU website in August ). He got his Ph.D in Mechanical
\nEngineering from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and then
\ngained over 4 years full-time industrial experience in two Fortune 500
\ncompanies ( 2 years at General Motors Research Center in Michigan and
\n2 years at Halliburton Energy (Oil&Gas) Service Company
\nin Houston, Texas. ) His research works have strong
\nemphasis on addressing the real world challenges and applications.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
