The University of Pennsylvania’s DeDOS project<\/a> is a multi-disciplinary project funded by DARPA as part of the Extreme DDoS Defense (XD3)<\/a> program. The goal of this project is to create fundamentally new defenses against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks that can provide far greater resilience to these attacks than existing solutions.<\/p>\n To achieve this goal, the DeDOS team (together with Georgetown University) brings together expertise in distributed systems, network security, and real-time systems. DeDOS has funding for one post-doctoral researcher. This is a one-year position, based in Philadelphia, with the possibility of a second year (subjected to funding availability). The postdoc will have the freedom to lead individual projects, as well as work with a large team of researchers, including Ph.D., Masters, and undergraduate students.<\/p>\n We seek applicants with expertise in at least one (but preferably two) of the following areas: distributed systems, network security, and real-time systems.
